The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) announces that the MCQ-Based Preliminary Test (MPT) for the CSS Competitive Examination 2026 will be held on Sunday, 9 November 2025.

Key Points:

1. The CSS CE Rules 2019 and onwards apply to the entire process and will be strictly followed.

2. Passing the MPT is mandatory to apply for and appear in the Main CSS Competitive Examination 2026.

3. The MPT will be conducted in the following cities, subject to a sufficient number of candidates:

   • Abbottabad

   • Bahawalpur

   • D.G. Khan

   • D.I. Khan

   • Faisalabad

   • Gilgit

   • Gujranwala

   • Hyderabad

   • Islamabad

   • Karachi

   • Lahore

   • Larkana

   • Multan

   • Muzaffarabad

   • Peshawar

   • Quetta

   • Rawalpindi

   • Sargodha

   • Sukkur

Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree (at least 2nd Division).

• Age between 21 and 30 years as of 31 December 2025 (inclusive of male, female, and special persons).

• A two-year age relaxation is allowed for certain categories as per Rule 6 of CSS CE Rules 2019.

Application Process:

• Apply online via the FPSC website between 11 August 2025 and 25 August 2025.

• Closing date for online applications: 25 August 2025.

• Application fee: Rs. 250/- (deposit in any Government Treasury, State Bank of Pakistan, or National Bank of Pakistan under the account head C02101 – Organs of State Exam Fee).

• Bring the original challan form to the exam centre on test day.

Additional Information:

• The syllabus for MPT is available on the FPSC website.

• Admission certificates can be downloaded from the FPSC website 10 days before the test. No separate notification will be issued.

• Examination centre, once selected, cannot be changed.

• Ensure that CNIC number, date of birth, and other personal details are entered correctly to avoid disqualification.

• FPSC maintains zero tolerance for cheating or unfair means.
