Municipal Committee Jaranwala informs the general public that it will be conducting a public auction of the following income-generating contracts for the fiscal year 2025–2026.
The auction will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM, under the supervision of the Auction Committee, at the Municipal Committee Hall, Jaranwala.
Participation Guidelines:

Interested bidders are required to submit earnest money (call deposit) in the name of Administrator, Municipal Committee Jaranwala, through a scheduled bank.

Unsuccessful bidders will have their security deposits returned after the auction.

Detailed terms and conditions of the auction can be viewed during office hours at the office of the Municipal Officer (Finance), Municipal Committee Jaranwala.

The competent authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids without assigning any reason.

Contract duration: From July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria:

Photocopy of Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) must be submitted by all bidders.

Only contractors registered with the Government of Punjab are eligible to participate.

The following individuals are not allowed to participate in the auction:
-
Defaulters of the Municipal Committee Jaranwala.
-
Individuals blacklisted by any government institution.
-
Bankrupt individuals or those legally declared incompetent to enter contracts.

Before taking over the contract, the successful bidder must provide either a personal surety or bank guarantee equivalent to the total contract value, making them personally responsible for any outstanding dues in case of default.

If the government revises the official fee schedule, the contractor must adjust collections and payments accordingly.

Contractors are required to submit monthly payments in advance by the 5th of every month. Failure to comply may result in immediate termination or transfer of the contract.

The contractor shall not be entitled to any waiver or concession in case of losses due to unforeseen events like natural disasters, wars, strikes, etc.

The contractor must pay:

Income tax at 10% or as applicable on the total contract amount.

Punjab Sales Tax at 16% or as applicable on the total contract amount.

Upon being awarded the contract, the successful bidder must deposit the full amount within three days of notification, as per the Punjab Local Government Auction of Collection Rights Rules 2016. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the earnest money and re-auctioning of the contract.

If there’s any delay in contract finalization due to administrative reasons, the dues for those days will be adjusted in the first installment of the contract.
